I’m a 23-year old dog mom, and I’m trying to find my passion in this world. My interests vary from every possible spectrum; I’m moderately obsessed about everything. From music genres to book settings to movies and activities, chances are I’ve at least sampled it and wasn’t horrified (except Country Music).
For me, finding a single subject to study and make a career out of for the rest of my working life is incredibly overwhelming. I want to learn everything. Even though I’m feeling stuck right now, I have a lot of focus to where I want to be someday. My dreams are big and possibly unrealistic, but why shouldn’t they be?
Ever since I was in elementary school I knew I loved writing. I still have all my notebooks with story ideas and character descriptions and plot outlines. In seventh grade, I wrote and published my very own newsletter that I sent out to friends and family. Once I got into high school, I spent several years working on the school newsletter and yearbook. In college I attended a meeting for the school newspaper, but didn’t think I would have the time to put the effort in; I wish I had pursued it. I’ve had blogs off and on for years, but I’m determined to keep it up now. Writing, I have rediscovered, is my greatest passion.
What is this blog? It’s a public diary and account of my journey into independent adulthood. It’s a place for me to express my thoughts and opinions and generally my life. This blog is everything from opinions on books and films and experiences to rants and social commentary. I have no theme for this blog other than the name states: Orlando, Florida called me, and I’m answering. Maybe another city will call me someday; maybe I’ll find my place here again. All I know is, if you’re at all interested in what I have to say about my life and life surrounding me, subscribe via e-mail or check back regularly.
